Client Details - MJCA

Background

MJCA provide independent advice on environmental issues to both public & private sectors.
They used a paper based system to control their projects that clearly defined & fitted the requirements of Quality Assurance control to the project life cycle.
They had issues with this in that there was no central reference point for each project, there was great repetition of the data being entered, a distinct lack of security around the electronic versions of the forms, and all archived information was paper based.
In addition to this they wanted to incorporate an existing Contacts Database to make it more effective & user friendly.

Solution

Genus Systems designed & developed a bespoke application that gave them a defined menu structure to allow them access to various screens & converted all current forms into a screen within the process.
Electronic versions of the forms could be printed as required.
A login process was created to validate users & allow them the functionality at varying security levels, as approved by the client.
An approval process was incorporated so that only users with the correct administration rights could authorise certain steps. The permitted users could manipulate data as required.
An efficient and logical data store was identified using the current data , thus removing the need to input the same information more than once.
Clients existing reports were converted into electronic format
